When I talk about my books I tend to emphasise their literary aspect and aspiration: the development of a new style and a new genre - Hypnogogic (Hyp) Prose - and my calls for a reinvigoration of literary fiction away from its bland bourgeois preoccupations.
I sometimes forget that my work is also extremely visceral, in ways that are sometimes consoling but sometimes quite terrifying... especially to those who have good reason to fear.
Literate and visceral? Scriptural Pulp Fiction? Warm and humane female heroes who hunt down the wicked and kill them in the most horrible way imaginable?
Welcome to From the Chronicles of Lupa.
